lyrics

Ofendete. Mierda de voluntad

[ENG]
How much funcking longer can this shitty mental age last?
Paying for things is a part of growing up
Get offended. You have a shitty will

ENG
The title is taken from a great article in the latest issue of Ekintza Zuzenean.

I prefer voluntary contributions over fixed prices, mainly because of the power of ‘each according to their ability’. It’s wonderful when people are a bit thrown off by having to decide an unwritten price, I suppose because it’s generally uncomfortable for us to talk about prices and money. Usually it happens that most people contribute at the high end rather than the low, but there is always that beautiful moment when the most knowledgeable of them all arrives and says ‘very anticapitalist, but it costs 5 euros’ or ‘it should be free if it is a squat’. Grateful that we have such enlightened people to point out the inconsistencies for us, we pretend to admit dialectical defeat and that we appreciate the theoretical contribution (because there is no monetary contribution to speak of) and let it slide...
This, or a kick up the arse because just as things aren’t financed with scrap, scrap isn’t what you are expected to pay for all the effort that has gone into making things happen (gigs, publishing literature, food, maintenance of spaces, etc.) and because things haven’t been organised so that some people can passively profit for free, but to help finance projects, confront repression and keep the ball rolling in DIY circuits.
